The ratio of dolls to cars is 10:15, meaning for every 15 cars, there are 10 dolls. With 45 cars, we scale that to 30 dolls.
At the bakery, 3 muffins cost £1.50. How much would 12 muffins cost?
If 3 muffins cost £1.50, then 12 muffins would cost £6.00, as £1.50 multiplied by 4 equals £6.00.
On a map, 1 cm represents an actual distance of 50 km. If the distance between two towns on the map is 7 cm, what is the actual distance in kilometres?
If 1 cm on the map equals 50 km in reality, then 7 cm on the map would represent 7 times that distance. So, 7 x 50 km = 350 km.
