In a magical garden, there are 5 flowers on the left and 6 flowers on the right. How many flowers are there altogether in the garden?
By adding 5 flowers to 6 flowers, you find there are 11 flowers in total.
Arrange the steps needed to make a sandwich in the right order.
- Take out the bread
- Add fillings
- Close the sandwich
- Cut it in half
First, you take out the bread, then add fillings, then close the sandwich, and finally, cut it in half.
There are 9 crayons in a box. If you add 1 crayon, there will be 10 crayons in the box.
Adding 1 crayon to the existing 9 will indeed give us 10 crayons (9 + 1 = 10).
